La relance et les lobbyists

Quand on connaît ses saints, on les honore. Obama a donc stipulé dans la loi sur son "stimulus plan" de $787 milliards que les lobbyists devraient garder leur distance. Il leur est par exemple interdit de parler à des membres de l'exécutif au sujet de l'utilisation des fonds du stimulus pour un projet spécifique (ils peuvent quand même leur écrire). Mais dans un mouvement qui donne une idée des rapports de force et du côté complètement décomplexé des lobbyists (même dans le contexte de la crise), ces derniers hurlent à la mort!

“I am personally offended, and so are many of our clients,” Fulton said. “The White House and the president need to understand that the lobbying community is part of the solution, not the problem.”
